We know this year we’ll raise even more to fuel the important work of nonprofits serving our local communities.”

Anyone can donate to North Texas Giving Day online at, or in person at Communities Foundation of Texas, which is located in Dallas at 5500 Caruth Haven Lane, at the intersection of I‐75.

  • Alarming Statistics!!!

Over 50% of adolescents/teens have been bullied online. Over 50% have engaged in cyber bullying. More than 1 in 3 young people have experienced cyber threats online. Over 71% of students report bullying as an ongoing problem.

52% of students in 7-12 grades will be sexually harassed at school.
Only 1 in 4 report. 1 in 6 people have been sexually harassed in the workplace.
    Only 35% of workers report.

Every 2 minutes someone is sexually assaulted in the U.S. 1 in 5 women and 1 in 20 men in Texas will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime. Over 2000 Registered Sex Offenders live in North Texas.

Victims of bullying, harassment or sexual assault often suffer from anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress syndrome, addiction to drugs/alcohol and suicidal thoughts. These alarming statistics support the need for increasing prevention education to stop perpetrators and and treatment for survivors. To ignore these statistics will create extreme burdens on our society.

Our services are focused on the treatment and prevention of bullying, harassment and sexual assault. All of these behaviors are rooted in the need for POWER and CONTROL. Our agency has developed a curriculum that focuses on age appropriate, healthy relationship skills based on RESPECT and EQUALITY that challenges students to “Be EPIC: Educated, Pro-Active, Influential, Changed”

In 2011...The Turning Point served 838 counseling/crisis clients
Our certified advocates provided support and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners performed forensic exams for 169 survivors at 9 North Texas hospitals
Our staff & trained volunteers answered 1074 calls on our 24 hour crisis hotline
We presented prevention education to 15,817 participants.

Your donation will help us leave a legacy of EPIC social change!
