We Did It Together: Thank You for Making North Texas Giving Day a Success

This North Texas Giving Day, our community showed what can happen when compassion is transformed into action.

We began our 2026 campaign with an ambitious goal: raise $30,000 to help The Turning Point continue providing compassionate, survivor-centered care to individuals impacted by sexual violence. Our campaign theme, “Compassion in Every Moment. Care at Every Step.”, reflected the approach our staff bring to this work every day—meeting survivors where they are, listening without judgment, offering choices, and providing support throughout their healing journey.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, supporters, partners, and community, we not only reached our $30,000 goal—we surpassed it. Together, we raised $35,665!

That is $5,665 beyond our original goal, or nearly 119% of our fundraising target.

What $35,665 Means for Survivors

Reaching this goal represents much more than a fundraising number. Every contribution helps The Turning Point continue its mission to provide counseling, education, and advocacy for those impacted by sexual violence. Our organization works to deliver comprehensive services for survivors while promoting social change to end sexual violence.

These funds help make it possible for someone to be there when a survivor needs to be heard. They help provide advocacy when someone needs support understanding their options. They help create opportunities for counseling and healing, and they strengthen the education and outreach that help our broader community better understand and respond to sexual violence.

Behind every one of these services are people who have made compassion a part of their work.

The People Behind the Care

Throughout North Texas Giving Day, we invited our community behind the scenes of The Turning Point to meet some of those people.

We shared stories from the individuals who provide care, advocacy, counseling, education, support, and resources every day. Our campaign highlighted something we believe deeply: while our staff members may serve in different roles, survivors remain at the center of the care we provide.

And those stories will not end with North Texas Giving Day. Throughout the year, we will continue highlighting the people behind The Turning Point and sharing how our staff demonstrate compassion and care in their work.

We want our community to see the human side of our mission—the people who listen, advocate, educate, respond, encourage, and walk alongside survivors.

Because Compassion in Every Moment. Care at Every Step. isn't simply a campaign theme.

It's the commitment that continues long after North Texas Giving Day is over.
